For fifty years our farm has been producing vegetables in Diano Marina. Over the years the production and techniques have varied, but our goal remains the same: to offer a quality service to our territory, with the sale of fruit and vegetables from fam-to-table.
Our farm was born in the fifties thanks to grandfather Pietro Capra, a Piedmontese farmer who decided to settle in Diano Marina to start an oil mill. This activity was active and flourishing until the seventies, when it was decided to implement the cultivation of Genoese basil PDOs in greenhouses.
OUR HISTORYOur current production finds its main activity in the cultivation of Genoese basil PDO, together with tomato “cuor di bue”. At the same time, depending on the season, we guarantee the direct sale of other agricultural products such as lemons, broad beans, artichokes, aubergines and above all, our beloved zucchini "trombette".
Cultivated productsWe are in Diano Marina, in the province of Imperia. Its territory, between Capo Cervo and Capo Berta, is characterized by the traditional "fasce", still covered with thick olive groves and orchards. In this atmosphere with an exquisitely Mediterranean flavour, the Agriturismo Le Girandole is immersed.
The mildness of the climate and the enchanted landscape made grandfather Pietro Capra fall in love with it. In the fifties, from Piedmont, he decided to move permanently to west Liguria. The same bond with the territory belongs to his heirs, sons and grandsons, who feel the duty to defend, even with our work, the land that generously gives us its fruits.
