Perhaps we won't celebrate Christmas as we would have liked, but it doesn't matter. We don't hold it against 2020, which has actually brought us a lot of satisfaction. We have made our flats in Diano Marina and our agricultural products known to a wider number of people, thanks to our website; we have created a blog in which we write articles to promote the Gulf of Diano area. We keep our social networks up to date and create podcasts to offer valuable content to anyone who wants to learn about the area.
And we haven't finished yet. The ideas are many and the motivation remains strong. That's why, despite this difficult year, we still want to celebrate Christmas in the best possible way!
We consider ourselves lucky. It will be a simple Christmas, it's true, but we will spend it with our families, safe with our loved ones. This is what we want to think about now: the true meaning of Christmas, as it used to be. We want to think about when, as children, we would get excited at the thought of preparing the tree, decorating it with lights, and playing at finding the right place for all the little characters in the crib. Even though we have grown up a bit, when we put up the lights in the yard a few days ago, we felt just like that: happy and a bit like children. Between an olive tree and a hedge, we placed a Father Christmas reindeer, while a strelitzia served as a grotto for Mary and Joseph.
We have projected a swirl of coloured lights onto the walls of the farmhouse, and all the hedges have their own triumphant glow, as do the balconies, the gate at the entrance and the barbecue area.
It probably won't snow, and ours will be a typical Mediterranean Christmas, but the magic remains. When the lights come on in the evening and add to the backdrop of our beloved Diano Marina, it seems to us that everything is perfect just as it is.
Next year we will be back to welcome you and make you feel at home, we have no doubt. Christmas will find us together in a warm embrace, and we look forward to experiencing it, as one big family.
